Information I Collect

I use Umami for analytics, on an instance I run myself. It sets no cookies. For each visit it records the page you opened, the page you came from, your screen size, browser, operating system, device type, language, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored, and none of it carries your name or contact details, but it is not anonymous either.

How I Use Information

The analytics data is used solely to:

  • Understand general website traffic patterns
  • Improve this website

Appointment Scheduling

To arrange calls, this site links to Calendly, operated by Calendly LLC in the United States. If you book through that link, the data you enter is processed by Calendly under its own privacy policy; this site itself receives nothing. As this involves a transfer to a third country, it is safeguarded under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, in which Calendly participates, with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses as an additional safeguard (Art. 44 ff. GDPR).

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing (Art. 21). To exercise any of these rights, contact janphilip@gopfert.eu.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority competent here is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), https://www.ldi.nrw.de. You may also contact the supervisory authority of your habitual residence.
